Shy but fierce

This blog is for the ones who cheer for you from a distance.

I have said this many times, and I will continue to say it. I love my job. After photographing this family, I had so much adrenalin. If it weren't for the sun setting, I would have continued to shoot this family for hours! I am natural light photography, so my primary source of light is the sun.

At the beginning of the session, I greeted the parents, and mom expressed how she was nervous and mentioned that she and her partner are shy.

Let me tell you, they may feel shy, but the mother is fierce—dependable, and loving. The father is hard-working and caring. Both of them work to better themselves for their family.

The mother and I have so much in common that we understand that being a mother isn't enough, and that is okay to say out loud. But, of course, it's scary, thought to say out loud. But, for me, when I said it out loud, I felt a sense of relief. I may have said this before, and because I believe it to the core when we mothers work on ourselves, it helps us be better mothers. It may seem selfish to say, but it has helped tremendously with my mental health.

While talking with mom, she mentioned how proud she is of me and cheering for me. That meant so much to me. Thank you for that! I know people are cheering for everyone in the distance. I am grateful to you all who have supported my business and have shown love in the smallest and the most significant ways.

I feel like I am all over the place, but I wanted to take a moment to talk about how wonderful this family is. They're perfectly perfect in every way. As mentioned earlier, I couldn't get enough of this family. I am excited for you all to see a bit of their gallery.

Now, to go left again, what is perfect? I am sure there is a proper definition and, I am not even going to look it up because that is how perfect I am. (insert wink face here) For me, everything doesn't have to be in place or faultless to be perfect. I prefer flaws and uniqueness and everything out of the box.

I'll end this blog with, stay perfect, and don't forget to love yourself first!

This family embodies everything I believe. They are perfect and wonderfully made!
